Particle Physics Earrings

In order to observe tiny subatomic particles, the field of particle physics has created a number of clever detection methods... like the bubble chamber. Bubble chambers use hydrogen-neon liquid to observe the bubble paths left by charged particles passing through. The image used in these earrings was created by the Big European Bubble Chamber at CERN. The earring elements are made from hand-worked aluminum. The ear hoops are sterling silver.
